I, FAUSTO POCAR, Vice-President of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia Since 1991 ("International Tribunal"),

NOTING the transfer of the Accused, Vladimir Kovacevic, to the Hague on 23 October 2003;

NOTING that the Accused was indicted jointly with Pavle Strugar and that, by the order of the Acting President dated 27 August 2003, the case IT-01-42 has been assigned to Trial Chamber I, composed of Judge Amin El Mahdi, Judge Alphons Orie and Judge Joaquín Martin Canivell;

CONSIDERING the temporary absence of President Theodor Meron;

CONSIDERING that, pursuant to Rule 21 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal, the Vice-President of the International Tribunal shall exercise the functions of the President during the latter’s absence;

NOTING Rule 62 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence;

HEREBY CONFIRM that the case IT-01-42, The Prosecutor v. Pavle Strugar and Vladimir Kovacevic, shall continue to be assigned to Trial Chamber I as composed by the order of the Acting President dated 27 August 2003:

Judge Alphons Orie
Judge Joaquín Martin Canivell
