The
WorldCourts project was established in May 1999 to provide a
comprehensive database of decisions rendered by international
judicial and quasi-judicial bodies. It currently consists of
over 6300 decisions and covers 26 institutions in English and
2 in Russian.
WorldCourts became one of the most trusted sources of
international case law on the internet as evidenced by
frequent references to
the website in academic articles, books, court documents and
research guides. On average, the website is visited by 6'000
people per month.
We put a lot of effort into ensuring that WorldCourts stays
helpful, such as by:
-
introducing permanent links to our content;
-
providing Bluebook formatted citations;
-
inserting pagination from the original official
publications;
-
posting all documents in easily searchable and editable HTML
format;
-
editing and reviewing all decisions before they are posted
online;
-
ensuring the comprehensiveness of the collection;
-
updating the content regularly.
WorldCourts was founded and is developed by
Anatoly Vlasov.
