THE APPEALS CHAMBER

NOTING the Order of the Appeals Chamber pronounced orally on 22 January 1998, suspending the normal appeal sequences until the determination by the Appeals Chamber of the pending motion for the admission of additional evidence,

NOTING the Respondent’s Brief Of Argument On The Brief Of Argument Of The Prosecution (Cross-Appellant) Of January 12, 1998 submitted on 24 July 1998 ("the Respondent’s Brief"),

NOTING ALSO the Notice Of Cross-Appellant’s Understanding Of The Schedule For Further Pleadings By The Cross-Appellant filed by the Office of the Prosecutor on 7 August 1998,

CONSIDERING THAT the Respondent’s Brief is not required to be submitted until after determination of the motion for the admission of additional evidence by the Appeals Chamber,

PURSUANT to Rule 127 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal ("Rules"),

HEREBY ACCEPTS filing of the Respondent’s Brief on the following basis:

    1. the Appeals Chamber will treat the Respondent’s Brief as having been timely filed on the determination of the motion for the admission of additional evidence, in accordance with Rule 112 of the Rules;
    2. no response to the Respondent’s Brief is required at this time; and
    3. the Appeals Chamber will issue a Scheduling Order regulating further filings in this matter as soon as practicable after the determination of the motion for the admission of additional evidence.
