THIS TRIAL CHAMBER of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal"),
BEING SEISED OF a "Prosecution Application for Variation From Page Limits Concerning Prosecution Response to Amici Curiae Motion for judgement of Acquittal Pursuant to Rule 98 bis", filed 19 March 2004, in which the Prosecution seeks permission to file its Response pursuant to Rule 98 bis beyond the page limit prescribed for Motions in the "Practice Direction on the Length of Briefs and Motions" ("Practice Direction")1,
NOTING that paragraph 5 of the Practice Direction requires the Response to be filed within a ten page limit and that the Prosecution estimates the length of its Response to be no longer than 200 pages,
NOTING that the Trial Chamber granted the Amici Curiae a page extension of up to 100 pages for its Motion, and that the Prosecution will be required to respond in greater length to assertions in the Motion that there is no or insufficient evidence,
PURSUANT TO Rule 54 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal,
HEREBY GRANTS the Motion and ALLOWS the Prosecution to file a Response not exceeding 200 pages.
