DECISION ON ZORAN ZIGIC’S OBJECTION TO OBSTRUCTION OF PREPARATION OF DEFENCE

_____________________________________

Counsel for the Prosecutor:

Ms Susan L Somers for the Prosecutor

Defendant:

Zoran Zigic (un-represented)

I, Judge David Hunt, Pre-Appeal Judge,

BEING SEISED OF Zoran Zigic’s ("Zigic") "Objection to Obstruction on Preparation of Defence", filed on 17 October 2002 ("Request"), whereby Zigic complains about the Registry’s refusal to give him the Minutes of his meetings with the Registry which took place in 1999 and 2000 ("Minutes");

NOTING that, on 14 October 2002, Zigic was granted access to those Minutes by the Registry;

CONSIDERING that Zigic’s Request has therefore become moot;

CONSIDERING that, if in the future Zigic intends to seek access to any other material from the Registry, he will have to demonstrate a basis for access to that material;

HEREBY DENY the Request.

Done in English and French, the English text being authoritative.

Dated this 28th day of October 2002,
At The Hague,
The Netherlands.
