THE APPEALS CHAMBER of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal");

NOTING that notices of appeal have been filed from the Judgement of Trial Chamber III in Prosecutor v. Dario Kordic and Mario Cerkez, dated 26 February 2001, by Dario Kordic and Mario Cerkez on 12 March 2001 and by the Prosecution on 13 March 2001;

NOTING that sub-Rule 65bis(B) of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal ("the Rules") requires "the Appeals Chamber or an Appeals Chamber judge" to "convene a status conference, within one hundred and twenty days of the filing of a notice of appeal and thereafter within one hundred and twenty days after the last status conference, to allow any person in custody pending appeal the opportunity to raise issues in relation thereto, including the mental and physical condition of that person";

NOTING FURTHER the "Order Appointing a Pre-Appeal Judge", issued on 9 May 2001, which appointed Judge David Hunt as Pre-Appeal Judge in this matter and entrusted him, inter alia, with the conduct of one or more Status Conferences prior to the hearing of the appeal "in order to determine, in consultation with the Appeals Chamber, the procedures to be followed in that hearing";

CONSIDERING that Dario Kordic and Mario Cerkez are currently in detention at the United Nations Detention Unit in The Hague pending the hearing of the appeal;

PURSUANT to sub-Rule 65bis(B);

HEREBY ORDERS that a Status Conference be held before Judge David Hunt on 22 June 2001 at 10.00 a.m.
