I, Fouad Riad, Duty Judge at the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 (hereinafter "the Tribunal"),
NOTING the indictment against Blagoje Simic et al confirmed on 21 July 1995 by Judge Lal Chand Vohrah,
NOTING the amended indictment against Blagoje Simic et al confirmed on 11 December 1998 by Judge Lal Chand Vohrah,
NOTING the transfer of the accused to the seat of the Tribunal on 12 March 2001 by the Dutch authorities,
PURSUANT to Rules 28, 40 and 64 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Tribunal,
ORDER the detention on remand of Blagoje Simic and instruct the Commander of the United Nations Detention Unit in The Hague to keep the accused in detention until further order.
