THIS TRIAL CHAMBER of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 ("International Tribunal"),
BEING SEISED of the confidential and ex parte "Prosecutors Request for an ex parte Hearing Prior to the Closed Session Hearing on the Motion Requesting Protective Measures for Witnesses at Trial" ("Request"), filed by the Office of the Prosecutor ("Prosecution") on 3 November 1998,
NOTING the Decision of the Trial Chamber of 28 April 1988, in which it was ordered that: "The Prosecutor, the accused, his counsel and their representatives shall not disclose to the public, to the media or to family members and associates the substance, in part or in whole, of the witness statements which the Prosecutor provides pursuant to discovery, except for reasons related to the preparation of their cases",
NOTING the Scheduling Order issued by the Trial Chamber on 5 October 1998, setting a closed session hearing on the issue of protective measures for Witness FWS-191 for Wednesday 11 November 1998 at 9. 30 a.m., at which both parties shall be present,
NOTING the rights of the accused to a fair and public trial and the obligations to protect victims and witnesses pursuant to Articles 20, 21 and 22 of the Statute of the International Tribunal and Rule 75 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the International Tribunal ("the Rules"),
PURSUANT to Rules 69, 75 and 79 of the Rules,
HEREBY GRANTS THE REQUEST and schedules a closed session ex parte hearing for Wednesday 11 November 1998 commencing at 9 a.m.
